MV Software
Company Receives Patent for Business Intelligence Software
Clawson, MI, February 7, 2007 -- MV Software Company, based in Clawson,
Michigan, announced that it received a patent for its business intelligence
software product, Maxene Reporter™.
Maxene Reporter™ is a business analytics and report writing solution that
amplifies the functionality and familiarity of Microsoft® Excel® to generate
enterprise-quality business decision reports and dashboards with significantly
lower cost, complexity, IT demands, and training.
"Maxene Reporter enables end-users to use their own spreadsheets without having
to spend lots of time in manual data importing or data processing tasks", said
CEO, Pavan V. Muzumdar. "It is very exciting for our company to receive this
patent. It is a validation that our product contains some unique and novel
characteristics", he added.
"Companies are spending large amounts of money and effort to develop analytical
tools and dashboards to provide decision support across all functional areas.
Our product brings the same capabilities with a much smaller technical
footprint, at much lower cost and complexity," Mr. Muzumdar continued.
As a server based, web-enabled application, Maxene Reporter™ can be easily
deployed and administered, with easy integration into third-party software
applications. It also provides bidirectional transfer of data between
spreadsheets and external databases.
The company has several customer installations and is negotiating with
development and service partners to license the technology to third-party
software providers.
